The Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC), Dhaka and Bangladesh Astronomical Association (BAA) jointly organized an online art competition and photo exhibition titled ‘History of Russian space activity’ marking the 63rd anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite ‘Sputnik-1’ on October 29, according to a press release.
The United Socialist Soviet Republic (USSR) launched it into an elliptical low Earth orbit on October 4 1957.
Students from different schools in Dhaka attended the competition and they dedicated their works to the history of space and Russia’s activities in this area.
