Denis Giles, Port Blair: Though there is a marginal dip in the positive cases, it is felt that the Administration cannot be complacent until there is drastic reduction in the number of positive cases, read the Order No. 696 dated 31st May 2021 issued by the District Magistrate South Andaman.
In order to place stricter measures of isolation and social distancing in the South Andaman District to control the surge in the cases of COVID-19 and also to prevent any disturbance to the peace and tranquillity, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, District Magistrate, South Andaman has ordered that the lockdown will be imposed in the entire South Andaman w.e.f. 31.05.2021. The Order No. 696 shall come into effect from 01st June 2021 and shall remain in force till 07th June 2021.
