Two Dhaka metropolitan magistrates Debabrata Biswas and Atiqul Islam have apologized to the High Court over their granting remand of actress Pori Monir several times in a drugs case.
They unconditionally apologized before the high court bench led by Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam on Sunday (October 31).
On September 28, the HC sought fresh explanations, not being satisfied with explanations submitted by the trial court judges.
Earlier on September 15, the judges submitted their explanations and offered an unconditional apology to the HC. However, the court expressed dissatisfaction with the explanations.
